CJ Broussard-White
CJ Broussard-White is an accomplished attorney, public servant, and community leader whose career has been dedicated to advancing justice, strengthening public institutions, and serving vulnerable communities. She currently serves as a Transactions Attorney with the City of Houston Legal Department, where she provides legal counsel on complex municipal transactions and public matters.
CJ earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Houston Law Center, a Juris Doctor from The University of Texas School of Law, and a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University. Her distinguished legal and leadership career spans decades of service in both state and local government.
Prior to joining the City of Houston, CJ retired from the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services after serving in several executive leadership roles, including Procurement Director, Child Protective Services (CPS) Harris County Regional Director, and APS/CPS Inter-Regional Managing Attorney for Regions 4, 5, and 6. Throughout her tenure, she championed initiatives that strengthened child welfare, adult protective services, and organizational excellence across Texas.
CJ also served as a Municipal Court Judge for the City of Houston, further demonstrating her commitment to fairness, accountability, and the rule of law.
A recognized advocate against human trafficking, CJ developed Harris County’s first Human Trafficking Protocols through a collaborative partnership with the Texas Governor’s Office and a broad coalition of community leaders. She also co-developed the NRG No Trafficking Zone Initiative alongside activist and documentarian Jacqueline Alluto, Bishop James Dixon, and Harris County Precinct One Constable Alan Rosen, helping create innovative strategies to protect vulnerable individuals during major public events.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, CJ has served on numerous child welfare boards, elder law initiatives, and community outreach efforts, consistently working to improve the lives of children, families, seniors, and underserved populations.
CJ is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and faithfully serves as a missionary, Church School teacher, and ministry leader at Power Source Christian Center Church. Her faith is the foundation of her leadership and service, guiding her commitment to compassion, integrity, and excellence.
She is married to Deacon Charles White, and together they enjoy life with their beloved pup, Maxwell.
